Statement
The designation of the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization represents a positive step toward safeguarding Sudan’s future and ending years of reputational damage and exploitation by certain political parties and the Rapid Support Forces. This decision opens new avenues for Sudan and its people to engage more effectively with the international community in the paths of peace, development, stability, and national renaissance.
While we welcome this important decision, we reaffirm our call for the Rapid Support Forces to be added to the relevant designation lists, in support of justice and in reinforcement of efforts to protect civilians and uphold Sudan’s security and stability.
